January Thaw Fallout!

Mercy! I just can’t win! LOL

I wished for the January Thaw and we got it…now we have a flood at the side of my parent’s house with the concrete sucking up the water like a sponge…the garage floor is really moist and due to the rapid melt of the ice we also got some water into the basement through a basement window! I’ve managed to get about 4 buckets of water from the above pic area, but there is still tons of ice.

We realized this is the lowest point between the house next door and ours…time to figure out how to make this area not so low…unfortunately no writing the last three days as I chip ice away here and there and clean up water. *le sigh* Tomorrow one more day of the thaw then everything freezes again…not good for the concrete walls I’m thinking. Making a list though of things that must be done come Spring.

On the book news – A Merry Menage Christmas continues to stay on the Kindle Holiday Romance Best Seller List. Wooot! And “Attracted to Him” my first m/m contemporary erotic romance releases  from Ellora’s Cave this Friday. Squeeeee!

Hope you all are faring better during this Thaw.

Here’s hoping the books’ sales soar. To pay the contractor bills in the spring. Hopefully, the bill(s) won’t be too big. How is your mum doing, Ok?

    • Hi Mercurydaddy! Great to hear from you! Yes, I was hoping the same thing with sales, *grin* Contractors I hear can cost big bucks. Ouch! Mom is seeing a surgeon next month for possible surgery…in the meantime she is trying hard to stay away from fatty stuff…so far so good *crossing my fingers* Thanks for asking. 🙂 jan
